L’Ecole nationale vétérinaire de Toulouse - ENVT (2024)

Discover our school

A school with a human dimension on an outstanding campus, open to a worldwide environment.

Founded in 1825, Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire (ENVT), the oldest of Toulouse’s Grandes Ecoles, has long acquired a national and international reputation. It is one of the four French national veterinary schools (ENVF) and one of the 12 public higher education establishments in agronomy, veterinary science and forestry, under the authority of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

Its research activities, conducted in partnership with INRAE and INSERM or teams from Toulouse University, testify to the quality of its scientific work.

Deeply rooted in the Occitanie territories (rural and urban) through its clinical activities, ENVT has also been able to open up to the international scene. The school is, in fact, involved in nearly34 bilateral partnerships,, thus offering numerous possibilities of mobility to its students, teachers and researchers.

For decades, ENVT has been training veterinarians – high-level biologists, doctors and surgeons – focused on the animal health sector (companion animals, horses or food animals). All of these practitioners contribute to animal welfare and the quality of farm animals, and play a significant role in maintaining public health.

Joining ENVT also means joining an exceptional 54-hectare campus, located only a few kilometers from the center of Toulouse. This campus bordered to the north by “la Coulée verte” that follows the river Touch houses a riding school. It offers its students the opportunity to go for a walk or a ride in the woods or on the banks of the Garonne.
A school where it is great to live, work and study.
